Now in its 23rd year, the Citizens Who Care awards recognize civic-minded individuals or groups for their extraordinary contributions to the Andover community — above and beyond their normal job descriptions. Recipients must have an Andover connection — living, working or volunteering in Andover.
An Educator of the Year and a Student of the Year are also honored at the annual event. These awards honor one educator and one student in the Andover public school system who possess these same exceptional values and qualities, both in and outside of the classroom, and have made a significant and lasting difference in the lives of Andover students.
The Club is seeking nominations for these prestigious awards. Nomination forms may be downloaded from the Club's website, or by contacting any Club member. Inquiries and completed forms may be e-mailed to Nominations Chair Andy Betts, andrew.betts@lpl.com.
The Citizens Who Care gala is Andover Rotary's signature event and features a multi-course, gourmet dinner and presentation of awards. The awards are included in a display that features portraits and biographies of each recipient. This impressive display travels throughout the town over the coming year and may be viewed in venues such as local bank branches, Town Offices, and Memorial Hall Library.
Nomination forms will be posted on the Andover Rotary website in mid January 2019. Previous honorees can be found on the Andover Rotary website. |
