8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
The Park in Andover

RevFest is Coming on Saturday, October 3

On Saturday, October 3rd, Andover will step- back in time to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in true epic style. Hosted by Andover Celebrates America 250 in partnership with the Andover Center for History and Culture, the festivities kick off at 11 AM in the Park and run throughout the day, with something for every generation.

Looking for 4 volunteers 8:00-10:00 to help set up tents, tables and chairs for this great event.
(Experts at setting up tents that volunteered to help set up the 250 tents at Andover Days especially welcome/encouraged to help!)

Details:     Colonial Artisan Fair

Step into the 1700s with hands-on demos from master craftspeople: blacksmithing, gunsmithing, broom making, lacemaking, leatherworking, printing, flax processing, medicinal herbalism, and more. Don’t miss the colonial fencing demonstration, swords included.

The Cowasuck Band of the Penacook/Abenaki
A rare and special appearance featuring an authentic museum-style display of artifacts, traditional toys, and furs.

Prescott’s Battalion in Concert
The sounds of the Revolution come alive with 17th- and 18th-century music that would’ve been playing when the country was born.

Meet the Armies
Meet historically accurate Continental and British Army reenactors (Danvers Alarm List Company and His Majesty’s Royal Artillery, 7th Company, 3rd Battalion 1777) and learn what life on the march was really like.

Abbot Tavern, Reimagined
The beloved old Elm Street tavern rises again, right in the Park. Grab a craft beer or glass of wine, snack, test your history knowledge at trivia, hear a talk on Revolutionary-era cocktails, and more.

Walk Through History
Take a guided stroll down Chestnut Street to the Rose Cottage, South Church, and Bicentennial Park.

Fun for the Whole Family
Live music, food trucks, bounce houses, a balloon artist, face painting, lawn games, and plenty more to keep every age entertained.

And the celebration doesn’t stop at the Park—Main Street merchants are joining in, so the party spills right into downtown Andover.

The festivities will continue into the evening in The Park and the surrounding Municipal Xomplex. More surprises are on the way:  check back at andoverma.gov/250th as we add new activities and events.

Come celebrate 250 years of America, Andover style. We’ll see you there!

The magic of "The Magic Barn"
Melissa Marrama The magic of "The Magic Barn" Oct 30, 2026

Melissa Marrama is a longtime community advocate and volunteer dedicated to helping people in need. Through The Magic Barn, she has built a grassroots network that connects donated food, clothing, household goods, supplies, and services with families and individuals who need them most.

What began as a commitment to helping people during difficult times has grown into an ongoing community effort serving families in crisis, people experiencing homelessness, veterans, new arrivals, shelters, seniors, children, and frontline workers. Melissa’s role often goes far beyond collecting donations—she coordinates pickups, deliveries, volunteers, organizations, and resources to make sure that what is donated actually reaches someone who needs it.

The Magic Barn operates on a simple philosophy: if someone has a need and someone else has a resource, find a way to connect them. Melissa describes it less as an organization and more as a community of people who believe that helping one another can create a little bit of magic every day.

Today, The Magic Barn continues to be powered by generosity, volunteers, donated goods, countless deliveries, and Melissa’s determination to keep finding ways to help

Rotary's own Paul Mercandetti Paul's Journey on Honor Flight Nov 13, 2026

Andover Rotary's own Paul Mercandetti will share his experience on Honor Flight.

Honor Flight Network is a national nonprofit organization comprised of independent hubs working together to achieve the Honor Flight mission. In furtherance of this common goal, we have the enormous privilege of showing our nation’s veterans the appreciation and honor they deserve.

Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the opportunity to share this momentous occasion with other comrades, remember the fallen, and share their stories and experiences with other veterans. Honored veterans always travel free of charge, thanks to generous donations to our organization.

Trained in traditional Essex ship design under National Heritage Fellow Harold Burnham and with a background in biotechnology and experiential learning, she connects science, craft, and place.
