Lucy's Love Bus
Aug 02, 2019 7:30 AM
From her hospital bed at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children in Boston in 2006, Lucy Grogan founded Lucy's Love Bus because she wanted to deliver love, comfort and quality of life to children with cancer. Lucy's primary concern was to deliver comfort... until a cure. Lucy passed away only six months later, but her legacy of care and compassion live on through Lucy's Love Bus, a nonprofit her mom, Beecher Grogan, now runs.

Why I Walked 444 Miles to Make a Memory
Sep 13, 2019 7:30 AM
New York Times best-selling author Andra Watkins chose a crazy way to launch her debut novel. She's one of the only living persons to walk the 444-mile Natchez Trace as the pioneers did, and she did it with an unconventional wing-man, her 80-year-old father. Her life-changing adventure inspired her NYT best-selling memoir Not Without My Father, which chronicles their experience. She is also the author of four other successful books. Andra's presentation challenges audiences to evaluate their relationships. She gives attendees, whatever their phase of life, concrete ideas and strategies to leave inspired to Make a Memory of their own and turn “I wish I had” into “I’m glad I did.” |

Sep 18, 2019 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
This month's Wednesday night event will be our September Social! Not only is this for us as Rotarians to gather together and celebrate, but also to engage potential new members who may be, for lack of a better term, 'Rotary Curious'!
The event will be 6PM, September 18 at Andolini's Restaurant on Essex Street.
We will be in the main lounge, and will be given a talk on the history and concept of the establishment by owner Spiro Pappadopoulos, as well as maybe...just maybe...a Special. Drink. List. Just. For. Us!
